How Much Do You Need?

Athletes in training can eat upwards of 25 grams and serious body builders sometimes take in up to 150 grams per day! For the average person, much less should be consumed. As with anything else, too much can be a bad thing and your body cannot handle an excessive amount of protein. Under normal conditions, you should eat about 7 to 12 oz of protein a day (depending on your weight). When adding whey protein, consider your other dietary sources of protein as well.
